Coffee Chat: Weaving Workshops Info Session-Wed

Please join Mill Museum Director and Teaching Artist Miriam Block at the Winooski Senior Center to learn more about our upcoming Rigid Heddle Weaving Workshops. Miriam will be sharing more info and demonstrating the Rigid Heddle loom that participants in the workshops will learn how to use.

The Coffee Chat is free and you can just drop in at the Winooski Senior Center either Tues. Feb. 10 or Wed. Feb 11. We encourage older adults who are curious about participating in the weaving workshops to come, find out more, and register for the spring weaving workshops!

The 10 session Weaving Workshops will be held on Wednesdays & Thursdays in April. The workshops are free, but space is limited. Registration for the April Weaving Workshops is required.

About the Teaching Artist:
Miriam Block has 25+ years of teaching artist experience. She has a Bachelors degree in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Masters degree in Art Education from Saint Michael’s College. Miriam started her career working as wovens designer for a textile mill and taught computer aided design to textile and fashion designers. She has been the Director of the Heritage Winooski Mill Museum for the past 10 years and has facilitated and taught a variety of weaving and fiber arts workshops to kids and adults.
