I like the idea of uniqueness and individuality. Not everyone dresses the same. Dressing the same is boring. You can spice it up with what you wear. If we had uniforms at school, I couldn’t be expressive or comfortable in what I wear. Entertainment is very important to teens, and there are so many different things we do not get bored and make bad choices. I have always played sports, and appreciate the idea of being on a team and how I can be a part of something bigger. This photo is of white rice and Sabji. Sabji is made with pork, cabbage, oil, usually eaten on holidays and at festivals and parties. These photos represent my home life and upbringing. After taking the photos, I like the idea of portraying the modern Winooski. We have technology, we go to school, and so forth- unlike in the 1920’s. I feel it’s important to leave a legacy of what life was really like. I use to think we’d have flying cars, but we don’t.
